Saturday 19th June, Blackburn North, 3130
Whether you have been running The Marriage Course, The Marriage Preparation Course for a while or are just thinking of starting out this meeting is for you!
Today the institution of marriage is being undermined and marriages are under ever-increasing pressure. How can we as Christians help turn the tide? One way is to run courses that help couples, both churched & unchurched, build a healthy marriage to last a lifetime. The courses provide practical tools to strengthen their relationship.
We invite you and any one else in your church involved in running or thinking about running the courses with you to the "Marriage in FOCUS" day at St. Alfreds Anglican Church, Corner Springfield Rd and Koonung Rds, Blackburn North. (Park in Koonung Rd MelwayRef 47K7)
The day runs from 9.15am to 4.30pm, costing $20 for individuals and $35 for married couples (this is great value as it includes refreshements and lunch during the day). We suggest that husbands and wives come together, if at all possible, to gain maximum benefit. The day is designed for you to:
-
be equipped to lead or facilitate the Marriage Course and the Marriage Preparation course in their home, church or community. It is for any leader who wants to know more about the course and for any married couple who is thinking of leading one. We suggest that husbands and wives come together, if at all possible, to gain maximum benefit.
-
be informed about the new resources
-
bring and share experiences, ideas and challenges in leading the course. This will be a wonderful opportunity again for facilitators of the courses to update as well as give and gain support from others.
-
be equipped to use the FOCCUS inventory alongside The Marriage Preparation Course (this is for those facilitating The Marriage preparation Course, there is an extra cost... for the FOCCUS Manual & registration of $110) .
The meeting "divides" in the afternoon for "Equipping in FOCCUS" and "The new Marriage Course Exposed" so make sure that you make the selection on the booking page".
